Garden Island Resort is an intimate ocean side property with 30 well appointed rooms, each with a commanding view of the
Somosomo Strait and the island of Vanua Levu. Taveuni (Fiji's Garden Island) has a unique and unspoiled quality that is hard to find in today's world. Here exists an ecosystem of incredible diversity; rugged mountains, verdant rainforest, exotic flora and fauna, plus the surrounding sea with its colorful reefs and multitude of tropical fish.
Garden Island's oceanfront accommodations are just a stone's-throw away from the water's edge. All rooms are clean and comfortable with an ocean-facing balcony (upstairs) or patio (downstairs). Each room is air-conditioned and has a queen bed and a single bed, a shower and bath, a refrigerator, telephone and coffee/tea making facilities. In addition there are two dorm rooms, each with 4 single beds, a private bath and shower, a refrigerator, and coffee/tea making facilities. Garden Island also offers Family Rooms, which are two adjoining rooms for up to four persons.
There is an ocean-view restaurant and bar located poolside just feet from the water's edge. The Drodrolagi restaurant features fine local and international cuisine with fresh local produce, meats, poultry and seafood. Their menu also offers at least one vegetarian entree at each meal. The Tagimoucia Bar offers nightly entertainment from the locally famous Garden Island Resort Band.
Spend your time sunning by the pool or diving the Rainbow Reef; sit back on your ocean-front balcony and enjoy a magnificent sunset; or take off and explore the beauty of the island, it's up to you! Their knowledgeable staff will be happy to help you arrange a variety of activities including sea kayaking, visits to waterfalls, village and cultural tours, golfing, bird watching, rainforest treks, snorkeling and scuba diving.
